Oftentimes, especially in today’s climate, many people suffer in silence battling depression, anxiety, PTSD and other conditions that can often leave one emotionally and mentally paralyzed preventing the experience of living a fulfilled life. I am here to encourage you that YOU do not have to go through it alone.  As a Licensed Professional Counselor, I engage each client from a Holistic Approach, which focuses on the whole person and not just their mental health. This includes their physical, mental and emotional health as well as considering social factors. My Theoretical Orientation is Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Solution Focused Therapy, however, just as each client’s needs are unique so may be the approach.

As a 3x Graduate from Walden University in Minneapolis, Minnesota. I hold a Bachelors of Science in Healthcare Management, Masters of Science in Human Services and a Masters of Science in Mental Health Counseling, in which my desire for social change requires me to be a part of the solution in working for change that foster a better life for those who are often overlooked. I’ve been an advocate for homelessness for several years and served on a board to help better the quality of life of woman and children in shelters. As a former DSS employee, I have worked in Child Protective Services and Adult Protective Services and have insight to the daily struggles and trauma that are experienced firsthand. I promote mental health by public speaking opportunities, currently with Richland County Sheriff’s Department’s JUMP program. As a therapist I am partnering with each client on their journey to healing, growth and development. I completed my practicum and internship at She’s Counseling, and supporting the model Sisters Helping Everyone Succeed, have joined this network of woman & men counselors who work diligently to do just that.

I am a wife of a retired Army Veteran, Purple Heart Recipient and mother to five children, one son-in-love, and 7 grandchildren. I know firsthand how mental illness and addiction untreated, can impact the individual and the family and am ready to work with YOU!
